DOT is an artist from Augsburg, for whom I have been making videos since my excursions into the 3D world. It was always an exciting and fruitful collaboration. His last album was released on the Anette Label. You can find the full album on Bandcamp.
This piece is a wild mix of a Huxleyan soma factory and Oskar Schlemmer's triadic ballet. It abstracts a humanity that nourishes itself from its own illusions, which reproduce themselves again and again from themselves. After careful twisting and compression we eat ourselves again. The giants work incessantly in the background. Show must go on.

Concept
Soma 2 is part of a three-piece song assembly from DOT’s new album „Monsters“. This Video is the first part of a series dealing with the reinterpretation of pioneers of light and kinetic art. Beginning with Oskar Fischinger who invented a light organ called „Lumigraph“. Tribute to Oskar and Elfriede Fischinger who played this organ together.

This is the second part of the three-piece-Soma-project off of DOTs latest release „Monsters". Inspired by László Moholy-Nagy's light sculptures but also with his graphic works. Another praise of the shadow.
